The System Patient Experience Department is rolling out a virtual, instructor-led course for nurse leaders only (i.e., charge nurses, nurse managers, nurse directors, ACNOs/CNOs) called Comfort and Safety Open Discussion. This virtual instructor-led course provides best practices on how to effectively reinforce learning from the Comfort and Safety Rounds Course with nursing staff. The course focuses on sharing practical strategies on how to illustrate accountability, taking action, mentoring, and providing coaching and feedback on rounds to enhance overall patient experience. CNE CEU Available.
If you are a nurse leader and/or have staff members in those groups, please register and attend the Comfort and Safety Open Discussion Course at your earliest convenience. The course will be offered from Monday, March 27, to Friday, May 20. Dates and time vary by entity, you are welcome to attend any offering offered across the system (exception, HMCC/HMW is open to HMCC/HMW staff only).
Houston Methodist is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
Houston Methodist will award 1 nursing continuing professional development contact hour to those nurses who attend the activity in its entirety and complete the post activity evaluation.
