AVID (Alliance for Visible and Invisible Disability) ERG Holds First Meeting in September
The roster of Houston Methodist employee resource groups (ERGs) now stands at 11 with the addition of the Alliance for Visible and Invisible Disability (AVID). The group’s mission is to create a community across Houston Methodist to provide support, education and advocacy for everyone regardless of ability or disability and promote an environment that is inclusive and accessible for all. The group’s general membership meetings begin on September 11 and are scheduled to be held on the second Wednesday of each month thereafter. Contact aviddisabilityalliance@houstonmethodist.org to learn more or to join the AVID ERG.
ERGs are employee-created and led groups that provide a safe, neutral space for employees and offer professional and personal development opportunities. Employees systemwide can join any ERG they identify with or would like to learn more about and support.
