Our Biomedical Equipment Technicians (BMETs), Radiology Service Engineers, and Clinical Engineers will join healthcare technology professionals across the country in observing Healthcare Technology Management Week, May 17 -23, 2020. This event is sponsored by the Technology Management Council (TMC) of the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) and is celebrated annually.
These healthcare professionals must keep up with the ever advancing complexity of medical equipment operation and applications and are responsible for the care, safety, and accuracy of this equipment. They recommend, install, inspect, service, repair, and maintain medical devices and other complicated medical technologies for our hospitals, physician offices, and research institute. Their expertise has never been more evident than this year while facing a global pandemic. These professionals have been involved in adapting technologies and commissioning devices, all while ensuring the safety of equipment for our patients.
