At the beginning of the year, I announced that Dan Newman, CEO of Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital, was transferring to Houston Methodist Sugar Land to serve as vice president of operations. After much consideration, Dan has decided to remain in his role at Clear Lake.
Houston Methodist Clear Lake is in an excellent position, thanks to the efforts of our leaders, physicians and staff, and I look forward to Dan continuing to lead the hospital to even greater heights. He is as committed to pushing the organization forward as he was when it first integrated into Houston Methodist in 2014. Dan will stay focused on ensuring HMCL provides its community unparalleled safety, quality, service and innovation.
Houston Methodist Sugar Land will resume its search for a vice president of operations. Meanwhile, Dan will continue providing support to HMSL until we fill the position.
