Did you know that the American Nurses Credentialing Center Magnet® program started out as a question? “Why are some organizations able to retain top talented nurses and have excellent patient outcomes while other organizations cannot?”
This question led to a research project that found 14 common characteristics between organizations who were able to retain their nurses and have excellent patient outcomes. These 14 characteristics are now known as the 14 Forces of Magnetism – the 14 forces that attract!
I encourage you to ask your Magnet Champion about the 14 Forces of Magnetism. These forces hold true today not only for nurses, but for all of us at Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital.
