July 15, 2019 – Sometimes we all need a good laugh! Since we are in the health care business, I wondered what health benefits laughing provides. Here’s what I learned:
- Laughter lowers your blood pressure
- Laugher reduces stress hormone levels
- Laughter works out your abs (who doesn’t want that!)
- Laughter improves cardiac health by getting your heart pumping
- Laughter boosts T-cells which help you fight off sickness
- Laughter triggers the release of endorphins, making you feel good all over
- Laughter produces a general sense of well-being
