Magnet Mondays – Mission

September 11, 2017:  How many of you know the Houston Methodist Sugar Land Mission statement?  What about the Houston Methodist Nursing Mission statement?  Mission statements express our purpose and inspire us to reach our goals and commitments.  I’m proud of our HMSL and Nursing Department mission statements because they help us set our course and define our higher purpose.

HMSL Mission statement:  “To provide high quality, cost-effective health care that provides for the comfort of our patients, and delivers the best value to the community and people we serve in a spiritual environment of caring.”

Houston Methodist Department of Nursing Mission Statement: “The Department of Nursing provides an environment in which excellent nursing practice, interprofessional collaboration, leadership, education and research ensure that patients, families and the community experience compassionate, value-based care through unparalleled safety, quality, service and innovation.”
