August 3, 2020 – Who inspires you? During August I’m going to share some of the people who inspire me. If I could host a dinner party and invite anyone from the past or present, these are the people I would invite. I’ve long admired Mother Theresa for the choices she made, to live a life of sacrifice and service to people who were despised and rejected by others. Her biography is rich with quotes about serving and giving and I want to share a few of my favorites:
“Love cannot remain by itself- it has no meaning. Love has to be put into action, and that action is service.” Mother Teresa
“Not all of us can do great things, but we can do small things with great love.” Mother Teresa
“It is not how much we do, but how much love we put in the doing. It is not how much we give, but how much love we put in the giving.” Mother Teresa
I hope you take the time to read Mother Teresa’s biography, Something Beautiful for God, by Malcolm Muggeridge. I think you will be inspired
