December 9, 2109 – I’m in awe of how resilient our patients and families can be when faced with illness and crisis and I’m grateful for how you care for them and help them navigate what can be the worst time in their lives.
I’m reminded how the simple things can mean the most when people are ill, like brushing their teeth, washing their face, bringing a warm blanket, offering an encouraging word, helping them get out of bed, finding out what they like to read, the list could go on and on.
What’s most important is to see our patients and their family members as whole people who have hopes, dreams, aspirations and fears.
When we find out what is most important to them we can move them towards healing and hope.
