Magnet Mondays – Superman

July 13, 2020 – Many of you will remember Christopher Reeve, an American actor famous for playing Superman in the 1978 film.

In 1995, Reeve was left quadriplegic after being thrown from a horse during an equestrian event. Reeve went from being a strong, independent man to one who was dependent on others for everything.

What impressed me about Reeve was his unfailing hope. Reeve is quoted saying “once you choose hope, anything is possible.”

Hope is a desire accompanied by expectation of or belief in fulfillment. Hope lights the way when the odds seem to be stacked against success. Hope is trusting that the sun is still shining even when covered up by dark clouds.

What brings you hope?
