The first Pastoral Care Week was held in 1985 by an organization known as The Network on Ministry in Specialized Settings to celebrate chaplains and other pastoral counselors who serve professional workplaces. HMSL has a chaplain available in-house every day of the week. Their services are not just for patients, but staff too. They can be reached for prayer at HMSLChaplain@houstonmethodist.org.
Respiratory Care Week
Between October 23 and 29 we recognize the work of respiratory therapists and the importance of respiratory health. Respiratory therapists care for all age groups and are present at nearly every stage of life – from first breath to final. They have essential skills and provide exceptional care to those who cannot or struggle to breathe on their own.
Health Care Facilities Week
