We are so very blessed to have the many wonderful volunteers that give so much of their time. This year we would like to recognize a volunteer lay minister who has been with Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital since 2003.
In her years here, she has gone above and beyond with patients. Her life background as an associate psychologist and counselor prepared her for this great work after retirement. She is quite astute in assessing a person’s needs.
She is always willing to sit and listen to the patient’s story without being imposing in any way, making a lasting impact on the patient.
We have received much feedback from patients, family members, staff and other volunteers about how compassionate and caring she is with our patients.
Her dedication is remarkable. She has rarely missed her assigned days in all the years with us.
We appreciate her ownership to our hospital and are very honored to present this award to Lynn Crisp.
Lynn has always tried to be a supportive team player with our Spiritual Care Department. She has been one of our longest tenured volunteers to serve and has been faithful and helpful for our program. She begins her shift like clockwork every Thursday, always asking about the team and others when she comes in.
Lynn was a long time standing member of the Texas Silver Haired legislature in Austin and a leader with AARP.
She has three sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren and is a valued member of the Fort Bend Community.
Lynn is such a blessing in so many ways to our department and hospital. Thank you, Lynn, for bringing your heart and gifts each week to serve our patients and staff so faithfully. God bless you!
