I am excited to share Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital has once again been recognized by U.S. News & World Report. We are ranked as the No. 6 hospital in Houston and No. 9 in Texas! It is an honor to continue being recognized on this distinguished list, which celebrates the leading providers in quality and patient safety.
HMSL was recognized for four high-performing specialties: gastroenterology & GI surgery, geriatrics, orthopedics and pulmonology & lung surgery. In addition, HMSL was highlighted for 10 high-performing procedures and conditions: COPD; colon cancer surgery; heart attack; heart failure; kidney failure; knee replacement; leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma; pneumonia; prostate cancer surgery and stroke.
We will be celebrating this recognition at HMSL in the coming weeks. There will be more details in Monday’s newsletter.
At a system level, Houston Methodist was once again recognized by U.S. News & World Report as an Honor Roll hospital, marking the eighth time overall and six consecutive year on the list. HMH is again the No. 1 hospital in Texas – marking the 13th time HMH has been ranked No. 1 in the state. Three other community hospitals also ranked statewide this year. You can read more about the system honors in Dr. Boom’s message from earlier today.
