Hospital Week Activities

HOSPITAL WEEK: MAY 8 – 14

We celebrate hospital week to show our appreciation for the many individuals who contribute to the work that we do here at Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital. To honor our employees and volunteers, we have scheduled a week full of activities. The theme “This is Me…This is Houston Methodist” is incorporated into this year’s activities to celebrate the cultural diversity we have amongst all our employees.

All Week

Art Project Display & Vote

Noon – 1 p.m.
Painted canvases will be displayed on the conference windows in the Main Atrium. Stop by and place your vote for Most Creative, Most Expressive and Most Whimsical.

Photo Wall

Noon – 1 p.m.
Every employee is invited to put up a photo on the conference windows in the Main Atrium. The photo should represent your cultural background to celebrate our diversity.
EAC members will be in the Atrium with tape to assist with hanging your photo from noon to 1 p.m. each day.
For infection control purposes, please use a photo paper.

Kudos Table

Noon – 1 p.m.
Stop by the Main Atrium to fill out kudos cards for colleagues across the hospital. HMSL leadership will hand-deliver these to the department manager for display and distribution.

Sunday, May 8

Ice Cream Cart

2 – 4 p.m.
Cart will pass throughout the entire hospital delivering ice cream to employees.

Monday, May 9

Breakfast Tacos for Night Shift

6 – 8 a.m.
Night shift employees can stop by the table in the Main Atrium for two breakfast tacos.
Ticket Required. Be sure to get your ticket from your manager. This will help ensure that we have enough for all Sunday night shift workers.

Employee Music Performances

Noon – 1 p.m.
Main Atrium, connector to Brazos Pavilion

Tuesday, May 10

Ice Cream Social

2 – 4 p.m.
Join your colleagues in the Brazos Pavilion for a bowl of ice cream with your favorite toppings.

ANA Webinar – Culturally Congruent Care: Why Diversity Makes a Difference

Noon – 1 p.m.
Brazos Conference Rooms BC
All employees are invited to join.

Root Beer Floats

3 – 5 p.m.
Root Beer Floats will be delivered to Houston Methodist Orthopedics & Sports Medicine and Sienna Plantation Emergency Care Center.

Wednesday, May 11

Catered Lunch

11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
All employees are invited to receive a catered lunch in the Main Atrium.
Ticket required. Be sure to get your ticket from your manager. This will help ensure that we have enough food for everyone.

Thursday, May 12

Dinner Delivery to Night Shift

8 – 9:30 p.m.
Catered dinner will be delivered to all employees working the night shift.

Friday, May 13

Employee Music Performances
