Preventive screenings can help identify health conditions early. So if you’ve been putting off a preventive screening this year please ensure that you are making an appointment.
Did you know that most preventive screenings are available with no copay? For example, colorectal cancer screenings (for those 50 and older), all mammograms, all colonoscopies, annual well-woman visits, HIV screenings and many other tests may be covered at no cost. You also can earn HealthyDirections points for some screenings.
- Annual physical with primary care physician (1,000 points)
- Preventive screening (prostate, colorectal, cervical and breast preventive cancer screening (500 points)
These must be validated through your Houston Methodist medical plan. You won’t get points for these screenings if you are covered on a plan outside Houston Methodist, or as a spouse on a HM Plan.
