With the holiday season comes increased traffic, shopping and ATM withdrawals. Unfortunately, crime also increases in December, and there has been another rise in vehicle burglaries around First Colony and in our hospital parking lots and parking garage.
This week, we will begin the installation of an upgraded camera system throughout the campus that will significantly improve our surveillance capabilities. We will continue to work closely with the Sugar Land Police Department (SLPD) to evaluate risks and identify suspects, and we will deploy increased security and police patrols.
SLPD is also performing bike patrols to help deter crime, but we must do our part as individuals. It is imperative that we take precautions not to leave any items – especially valuables – in our vehicles.
We suggest all employees lock your vehicles and DO NOT leave any items within view.
Your safety and security is of the utmost importance to us. Security officers are always available to escort you to your vehicle. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns. Should you witness any suspicious activity, notify the security department immediately at 281.274.7112.
