Dan Newman, Vice President of Operations
Beginning Jan. 21, Dan Newman, CEO of Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital, will transfer to Houston Methodist Sugar Land to serve as Vice President of Operations—a move that will give Dan opportunities for more operational experience and will give Sugar Land another experienced and talented executive. Dan has done a tremendous job at Clear Lake, where he was responsible for integrating the hospital into our system when it was acquired in 2014. Since then, his leadership has helped the hospital significantly improve safety, quality, service, as well as financial performance.
Dan, who began his career at Houston Methodist as a fellow, will continue to serve as CEO while performing his Sugar Land duties until a successor is found for Clear Lake. We are so fortunate to be able to grow our leaders from within and share their abilities in a variety of areas. We look forward to working with Dan in this new capacity.
