The following leadership announcement was first sent out via email from Chief Operating Officer Eliud Faz on Thursday, September 26, 2024.
I am pleased to share Sarah Snider has been promoted to the position of Manager of OR Operations. Over the past two years, she has been an integral part of our operations team, demonstrating exceptional skills in project management, performance excellence and leadership in her senior project manager role.
Sarah joined the administration operations team in 2022 after serving as a project specialist within the Houston Methodist Primary Care Group. In 2023, Sarah was instrumental in partnering with the perioperative leadership team to improve the block utilization review process and develop a comprehensive improvement plan for perioperative services and sterile processing. Sarah also facilitated a successful kaizen event to improve inpatient bed placement for surgical patients, resulting in enhancements to the daily bed throughput management process. In 2024, Sarah has been the lead senior project manager for the top level improvement priority focused on OR process redesign to improve operational efficiency, quality and access.
This promotion is a well-deserved recognition of her hard work and contributions to our hospital. Building consistent reliability in the OR is a top priority. Sarah will continue to play a crucial role in improving daily management, process improvement and other strategic initiatives within perioperative services. In this role, Sarah will report to Susan Stone. We are working through a transition plan over the next two weeks.
Please join me in congratulating Sarah on this exciting new chapter of her career at HMSL. We look forward to the continued impact she will make in this new role.
